Episode 2 Delay
In a letter from IDOLA’s Producer, Shuntaro Tanaka, he reports that all the IDOLA team has is now working from home, to help combat the current COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the shift in the environment, it’s been hard for the inhouse IDOLA team and other external development to keep up the same workflow. Thus, Episode 2 and the massive 2.0.0 Update is delayed until late May.
In addition to that, there will be no uploads to IDOLA Channel because of the difficulty of recording, and the IDOLA Concept Art Collection that was to be released on the App Store will be canceled due to difficulties in developing it.
The future schedule is still under review while the team looks at the coronavirus situation in Japan, so they don’t have a concrete schedule at the moment. Updates will be provided once they have one.
The team will continue to try and help players enjoy Idola during the delay. They have extended current events, added new boost periods, and the Road to Episode 2 daily free gacha will continue until the release of Episode 2.
The team apologizes for the delay and asks that you continue to take care of yourselves, and look forward to the future of IDOLA.
