PSO2: Special Maintenance (7/22/2012) and Warning!
Phantasy Star Online 2 will undergo Special Maintenance July 22nd 2012.
Maintenance Schedule
- July 22nd, 2012 @ 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM JST
- July 21st, 2012 @ 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM EDT
- Other time zones
- To address the exploit of changing NPC positions in the lobby as well as using technics in the lobby.
- To correct the bug where the Talis weapon メタリソリドム Metalisolidum does not drop.
メタリソリドム is missing!
A Warning to All Players! (Updated!)
This is a separate warning unrelated to the Japanese site. Malicious players can move your characters in the lobby regardless of idling or not. There is an exploit not yet discovered by Sega where someone can move your character outside of the lobby. On your screen everything appears fine, but to others, you may appear outside of the window.

My brother got his lvl 35 char banned yesterday for this. They moved his char, took a picture and report him as a wicked user to SEGA

This innocent player banning needs to stop. Shame on those who continue to cause trouble for the rest of us. I agree, hunt down those who are actually working the exploits, and ip/mac ban them.

Damn, Dante. Sorry for your brother's loss…This crap really needs to stop. The more attention they get, the more they'll screw up the server. That's precious time lost and it's nothing that needs to be screwed with.

Its amazing how a good game comes out and it has to be plagued and we get crap like this happening. This bug effects ship 10 aswell.

Hey to everyone on ship 2, please do not leave your characters afk. These hackers are moving people and reporting the people they moved as wicked users, getting the innocent players banned. To anyone who knows me here, i will be opening up my room to all friends who want a safe place to afk.
I also suggest staying as far away from block 20/21 as you can for the next week or so. If these hackers feel like they can get away with this so easy, the best thing to do is just avoid them.
Also to anyone who got banned, myself along with a friend of mine are going to write up an appeals form, fill in the blank style, sheet with all of the information needed to appeal these insane acts. Hopefully this will get you're account back. I'll have everything written up by the end of tomorrow.

To be fair, I don't see how PSO2 is "plagued" with problems. The main thing is this exploit. It sucks that it is just someone ruining the game for others just to ruin it. Do they even gain anything from it?

If we avoid blocks 20,21, etc..
they will just pick other blocks.
then nowhere will be safe. as of right now the other blocks are pretty unaffected. the blocks I play on at least.

No ship is safe because anyone can create an account and jump to your ship and move characters.

Is there any way to inform Sega about this exploit so that innocent players stop getting banned?

You're welcome. You may have seen me trolling the "hackers" *cough* cheat enginers *cough* and I had enough evidence to prove the guy was moving my friends around, and thoroughly submitted 2-3 chatlogs proving so, not to mention I got Zapero/- and Sziadan admitting they were hacking, and that they can buy stuff on our accounts (a lie, but they dug themselves a hole they cannot climb out of)

Could someone set up a private server or something so we don't have to deal with this bull?

@Lava let: The result would be the same.

@Lava let, @Anon_Fire, besides, at best it would take months, not worth the effort having the same game arriving as a Free To Play to our zone

when you bump your char into other ppl. their char move a bit away. it seems this feature could be the culprit. just my assumptions.

I'm loving the QQing going on at pso-world.
>hypes the game up
>gets mad that maintenance happening on their time
>forgets Sega really only cares about the Japanese players(since it is their version
Oh boy this is great but in all honestly they do need to get a hold of this whole thing.

The fact that these things happen more on block 20/21 ship 2 seems to suggest that these are targeted against non japanese players.

Japanese players have gotten banned for no reason aswell what are you talking about.

I was simply suggesting something, since ship 2(first main english ship) and block 20/21/22 is often used by non japanese players. I just found it kind of weird.
