PSO2 Broadcast 5 Schedule

Posted by Ricardo

PSo2 Puyo

PSO2 Broadcast Station #5 will be streaming over Nico Nico on February 2nd, 2013 @ 22:00 JST. It will be a 90 minute show on the “Puyo 24 Hour” TV network — a 24 hour block of SEGA related news and programing with various personalities and celebrities.

PSO2 Broadcast Station #5 Outline

  • Over 100 minutes of PSO2 News
  • PSO2 Vita Special Report
  • Our guests will “attempt” to defeat powerful enemies.
  • Late breaking news about the Valorous Vanguard update.
  • Character Voice Recording Details (as mentioned in a previous post)
  • A sneak peek at the development team room.

Aside from that, don’t forget we have maintenance tonight, like we always do every Tuesday night. This maintenance should reduce the grinder costs for Dudu.

Grinder cost reduction? Again? Sigh, always catering to the poor people, SEGA. I actually MADE 1m off my Pico Pico Hammer due to the 3x 10% affix boost reward. This game is retarded.

oooooooooh tell me more ’bout how lucky u r grinding 10*s when the average amount of grinders it needs is 700+ or more.

genius

January 29th, 2013 at 3:02 pm

when they say grinder reduction they mean 10* will no longer need 3 grinders. Instead they require 2 or maybe (probably not) 1 grinder. I doubt affixing, and protectors will go down in price too much. Stop bitching cause ur rich. Fuck!

@Conspire: It’s just reduce grinder usage, you still risk -2, -3 like usual.

Conspire

January 29th, 2013 at 9:10 pm

Umm? Grinder cost IS the big thing. Who the hell even uses grind protection/boosts? We all know that they’re a complete scam (except possibly the -1 boosts if you’re feeling spendy.)

^ this guy right here knows how to grind.

Not like the poor ppl that rely on lame protectors to not lose their +8 ’cause they don’t have other weapon to use if they screw this one with their limited meseta and grinders hahaha

Conspire

January 29th, 2013 at 9:56 pm

Honey, +10 or bust. Seriously, there is no point in using a +8 weapon. Period.

And honestly, if you’re using Full Protectors, you’re just ripping yourself off. Keep in mind that even if your weapon loses levels, a lower leveled weapon has a higher chance of grinding up anyway. At 1.2m a Full Protect, and only 8k a grinder these days, even if you go from +8 -> +5 (which is stupidly rare since you mostly get no drop, 1s or 2s instead), you’re talking about 150 grinders to go from +5 -> +8 to break even on your Full Protect investment. Especially since when the grind protectors don’t even raise the odds of it going to +9 in the first place.

There’s a reason why everyone who grinds up weapons to sell on a regular basis only uses (-1) Protects, if any at all.

Poor people are dumb. I can’t believe how many of them buy into the sunken cost fallacy.

I don’t get how you made 1mill off Pico Pico Hammer… its a 10 star, thought you can’t sell them… or something.

Remius

January 29th, 2013 at 10:06 pm

Can’t be any stupider than the idiots who actually put stock in grinding their equipment in the first place.

There is no secret or “right” way to do it. You just try and fail.

Conspire

January 29th, 2013 at 10:12 pm

You get three +10% Affix Boosts for +10ing a 10* weapon the first time around as a title reward; I +10ed my Pico Pico Hammer with only two -1 Grind Protects which cost me 200k, so I got a net of 1m after selling them all for 1.2m.

I also made about 500k for +10ing my Neisir as well.

Anon

January 29th, 2013 at 10:14 pm

Man, if you don’t know, when u finish grinding a 10* u get a title. The reward for the title is 3 10% increase in affix chance.

Those sell for 500k each.

The problem here is, you usually don’t “make” money at all, because it costs on average 700 grinders to +10 a 10*.

Where in the jp site does it say about the grinder reduction? I don’t see it anywhere being mentioned.

Link?

You should know that these decisions were based on what the majority of JP players wanted and were not intended for elitists who look down upon “poor” people (If you can read Japanese, look at what all of the players put in the comments section of the JP blog. Most, if not, ALL of them were very positive about the thought of nerfing grinder costs. And who knows, some of them may be richer than you, which defeats all your complaints about this applying to poor people only). Furthermore, who the fuck cares about what you elitists want? It’s the 67+% of the whole entire game’s population we’re talking about here– THE NORM.

Personally, I have no qualms over this update because it gives me the advantage of easily grinding future items that have 12+ stars without the extra cost. I don’t really want to spend THAT MUCH money on a single weapon. I want to have variety (Which JP players may agree with because I know a lot of players all over the world who like to grind lots of the weapons they want to use with less costs). People have different playstyles and some of these playstyles will require people to grind “unecessary” things for their own benefit. It’s a matter of hedonism, not elitism.

As for the marketplace, just because nerfing these grinder costs down doesn’t mean we rich people will have a disadvantage. In fact, I think it’s a gateway for new (possibly user-friendly) people to become rich and sell you what you want– as well as buying what you sell (regardless if prices become feeble, at least us rich folk will still have our money we made from the past, so what’s there to worry about?)

Lastly, liking cheapness does not make you poor. Whoever has that notion about people is an ignorant buffoon and should stop playing this game before you ruin the experience for everyone else… Unless of course that’s your “playstyle”– then suit yourself. I’m not stopping you. Just understand that I’m merely throwing in my 50 cents about what I think about ignorant elitists in PSO2 and this update altogether.

If poor people all get +10 10*s, I no longer have an excuse to kick them from my room while laughing OHOHOHOHOHOHOHO and calling them poor people!

Oh, wait, they’ll still be poor people. Never mind, I still will.

But I like seeing poor people squirm!

Because they’re poor people!

Concerned Parent

It’s a matter of your playstyle then. If that’s what you like to do then I respect that fact. But know that what you define by “poor” may sometimes mean the opposite for some.

Plus from my understanding of what you said there, you wouldn’t really know what’s “poor” or not anymore unless the person you’re bound to kick admits they’re “poor”.

This word “Poor” is so subjective, it may lose its meaning after this update.

I don’t expect guests to be able to play video games at all, lest having any experience at PSO2. In this context any enemy will be hard to deal with.

Ricardo

January 30th, 2013 at 11:55 am

Oh the guests played before.

In most of the videos showing off new content, Sega makes sure they include at least one scene of a player getting killed by the boss. Of course we all know as players that around the 3rd time the bosses are significantly less difficult to avoid when you’re privy to their attacks, so i take that with a grain.

The snow cats had a hilariously high kill rate when they first came out for a good minute though. But bosses like Varder and Hunar were pushovers.

I guess the trick with such bosses is that you don’t know for the first time what kind of move they do after bobbing the head this way or that way.
I kinda see why bosses all are based on long telegraphing, as those are the only enemies which movements are server based, and therefore they tend to flicker a lot in a (multi)party.

Well, its going to be a celebrity show after all, not a championship.

For KWT – My computer does the same thing. If you don’t want to wait for the download to finish (or are dcing while waiting like I was): go to the configuration settings and turn off the big screen videos all together. Sega is investigating the issue (http://pso2.jp/players/support/measures/?id=3406).
