Well this is a strange, but not so unexpected turn of events. For the first time both US and Jp servers will be shut down around the same time. Just too bad they were leagues apart in content. Despite the game's faults and SoA gimping the game statewise I still found my experience with PSU a rich and fun one, more so than PSO I dare say.

I think the gimping was a combo of SoA, SoJ, and sonicteam, rather than just one.

Sucks for those who still play and continue to enjoy the game but good riddance.

Didn’t the US servers close down in 2009 or 2010? That’s not exactly close in terms of time lapse. but yeah it was to be expected seeing as they’ve released a new F2P game and probably want to allocate all of their resources to it. Seems a little abrupt seeing as PSO2 has been out for less than a month, but I think that just tells you how much confidence they have in this title
