Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Announced; PSO2 Domain Registration?
Click here for NEW Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Details
What is Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity? It is supposedly a new game that enables you to transfer your existing Phantasy Star Portable 2 data over. This announcement is listed on the box for Phantasy Star Portable 2: PSP the Best.
Shougai PSO linked to a previous interview with Sakai from Connect!on Magazine. This interview took place in February 2010. In it he talks about the next game after PSP2. To paraphrase, he says he wants to improve on some methods within the software to make it easier for “Online Multiplayer” gamers to match up with each other.
Shougai speculates that it may be a sort of a visual lobby for matching up players.

What is PSO2? Shougai PSO found a domain that was registered by Sega Corporation in 2009. The domain would be titled as PSO2.JP. It could be merely domain squatting, or it could be a new game. Either way we won’t have any news on this particular domain for now. So don’t get your hopes up. This is not an announcement.
I can tell I won’t be getting any sleep for the next few months, so I’ll be opening up a spot for a guest blogger!

Like, wow. How late can Sega be with their ideas? But better late than never. Speaking of data transferring, I wonder if you can transfer your PSP:2 demo data to the actual game… English ver. that is.

Ok, thanks. I just have a lot of stuff from the demo that I would like to carry over… so I don’t have to go hunting again.

Thanks for the news! I thought they were done with the portable games though, this was the last thing I expected to see. I am hopeful for that PSO2 announcement though!
