About this Blog

Ambition of Illuminus Blog will cover questions most new players ask, and will ease the transition from newbie to pro player. This blog was started to organize the information and message board posts of PSO-World, Phantasy Star Universe Forum, and PSUPedia together so that you can find answers, tips, and suggestions about different aspects of the game. This blog is not a complete replacement for those sites since they are community run and updated frequently.

For more statistical information and drops we recommend PSUPedia, for up to the minute news we recommend PSO-World, and for official news we recommend Phantasy Star Universe Forums.

History

Initially Sega of America started a small blog of the game before it released statewide. Afterwards, someone else which I don’t remember who, started a blog detailing some updates to the game and also hosted their own forums. During that time, I was considering creating a “fanfiction/humour” blog to coincide with that one, but decided there was no need to. Few months later, that blog stopped updating and practically disappeared off the internet. More months passed and PSUpedia and PSUTimes lauched. Again I held off creating this blog considering our gaming population was incredibly low and updates were very spaced out. Since Ambition of Illuminus was announced, I finally decided to start my own blog to coincide with the launch of the game to get more newer players interested.

This blog will cover 3 characterrs:. Ricardo Santilli, a mid-range character; Jay Evans, a newbie character; Hey Champaigne!, a social character.

Trivia

  • This final straw that forced me to create this blog were the people asking where the Casino was.
  • Ricardo Santilli is played casually and has took 2 years before reaching a level cap.
  • Ricardo Santilli does actually talk, just not to you.

And the higher chance you can get, when only one item is missing, is 1/34 ; which it stays very low, imo. 1/34 chance to win per every 100 or 200円 put into the gachan… Erk…

But, of course, the more you play past the 10 first attempts, the more you increase your chances to win dramatically.

@ johnny five : hahaha, no.
On 10 attempts :
– possible combinations : 34^10 = 2,06×10^15
– winning combinations : 10! = 3628800
– chance to win : (34^10)/10! = 1 chance on 568.887.168

Umm that means that they had a 34000000000/1 chance.

And I don’t think the probability to win a rare item directly from a gachan can be as worse as the lower chance to complete the list (if we keep PSO2 as exemple and suppose the equiprobability, it was : (34^10)/10! )
