Sega opens Phantasy Star Portable 2 Blog With Special Announcement

phantasy star Portable 2 up

Sega has started their own Phantasy Star Portable 2 Blog called "Little Wing Information Center" which will hopefully reveal some insider secrets of the development process. Producer Satoshi Sakai starts off with a proper introduction of himself before he recalls the success and pitfalls of the original Phantasy Star Portable.

He has listened to fan reactions of the original game and wants to set the tone anew by fixing the mistakes. He pretty much goes on to say how Sega's staff has increased in size to cover these games. He says how he wants to hear comments from you and will try to answer your questions. He won't answer all questions though, especially the ones that bring up adult subjects. Thankfully, he did make one special announcement…

Phantasy Star Portable 2 Opening Movie and Prologue Video will be released to the public on August 28th, as well as the 2nd update to the official website. He says the theme song is brand new and the video will feature various characters and some new elements that were not previously mentioned. Can't wait to see it!

Transfer  Save Data From PSP1

Shougai PSO updated some information about the data transfer. I think it might be disappointing for players who leveled their characters passed a certain level.

  • Character name will transfer over.
  • Character's appearance (some parts will be kept)
  • Character's item will not transfer over.
  • Character level will not transfer over.
  • An unknown special reward for those who transfer saves.

Minor Blog Notes 8/28/09

The blog updated a bit today, showing artwork of a rappy in PSZero form. He then writes the word, "NEWS", three times in large text to emphasize the next paragraph. He teases us by saying how they will present a lot of new material soon. He proceeds to beat around the bush, stating, "By the way… there is a Toko Game Show in September." Hmm, I guess this means we can look forward to something at this year's TGS.
