We finally have screenshots on the Grinding process that helps confirm some of the information posted before. To recap, you grind weapons by paying meseta. When it reaches it's 10th grind it will display "FULL". Once it reaches that point you must bring an Extend Code which will grind the weapon to S Grade.

You can apply a special effect like Freeze, Sleep, and HP absorption.
When you take the weapon out onto the field, it will have some visual effects.
