PSP2i: New Screenshots, New Technics Sazonde and Sabarta

Today 4gamer and various other sites talked about information regarding Friend Search and the various new technics described in the previous post. Since this information is somewhat old, we'll just do a quick recap of Friend Search, the new technics and the enemies.

Friend Search

Friend Search allows one to transfer characters back and forth via their PSP. This function works in Sleep Mode and Story mode. Once you pass by others throughout your daily life, your PSP will obtain up to 5 character data. With this data you can save these characters as friend characters and store up to 32 friends. But be warned! If you turn off the PSP you will lose the character data you collected. You can turn this feature on or off during the main menu by pressing the Triangle button.

I can acquire up to 5 character data at a time!

Friend Search characters have Mission Codes set on their character data, which you receive  once you obtain them. You also receive a key thing which can be use to create mission codes.

Set amongst this list of mission codes you'd like to give out to others.

Characters you receive from Friend Search and characters you created on your save file can all join a party together and become a support character (NPC). Specifically regarding Friend Search Characters, (not your save file characters), their autowords, abilities, photon arts, and appearance is transferred over. Your friend character's strength is adjusted automatically in proportion to your level.

Choose among your other characters, or friend characters to invite to party.

Characters that you personally created are known as "My Characters" and just like Friend Characters their appearance, photon arts, abilities and auto words are carried over. However unlike friend characters, "My characters" have their original level and original equipment.  Their level and equipment stay as is! (No Exp…  No leveling them up..)

When I invite my own character, "Knuckles", his level stay as is…

So by now you should understand that the levels for "Friend Characters" are not the same as  "My Characters."

Force up!

Forces have new features up their sleeves to help ease them into playing this game. Firstly, now you can block with rods by not setting the back palette of the Rod. Also you can now use technics while strafing with the wand and TCSM.

I can cast Foie while strafing! Cool Huh?

I can Just Guard (Exact Block) with rods! Cool huh?

Six New Technics

Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity adds six brand new technics for forces. (In the previous post you can read up on the recently revealed Samegid, and Diverse..) We'll display three of the new technics here.

Sabarta casts a snowstorm in front of you.

Sabarta users casts a snowstorm in a straight line in front of you in an extensive area . This hits enemies consecutively, so it becomes very easy to chain distant enemies using this skill.

Sazonde a lightning technic

Unleash a cluster of lightning to your foes! This technic can launch enemies to the sky. Even if you were to change weapons, It doesn't vanish and can damage the enemy.

Nagrants a new light technic

With Nagrants you fire 3 laser bullets to a locked on enemy. In the path of an arc, it can shoot enemies. A very convenient technic that hits distant enemies.

Hyuga Ryght

It's time to meet that man of mystery, Hyuga Ryght. “Hyuga Ryght, 20 years old and a Dewman. At one time he has worked diligently with Ethan Waber, and has perfected his sword skills since then.  He’s been pretty much incognito here and there for quite some time. With his handsomely good looks and persuasive speech, he has charmed many a women. Yet he’s still prudent after being transformed into a Dewman. He has accepted this transformation as the Holy Light’s guidance. However, he can not resist the urge to look at women, so he has taken the opportunity to introduce himself to that one researcher known as Emilia.”

Wouldn't you thank the Holy Light for bringing us together?

Enemies

Evaras, he's a soldier type Stateria.

Garanz, reconstructed from data obtained from Rykros
He shoots missiles from his shoulders.

Gurhal Gossip Gurl 3

This is an alternate description of Dengeki Magazine's information instead of going through Shougai's descriptions, though nothing has changed. Selected a few interesting ones..

  • Charge Shot II
    • Besides the shooting attribute, striking, and force attributes have been added to Charge Shot II.
    • (Same thing, essentially you can have a case where you can overpower weapon type resistances an enemy has through charge shot II. Each Charge Shot II has one? of those three attributes assigned to it.)
    • LongBow: You jump up and fire rapidly  to the ground. This resembled the 3rd attack for Dus Majarra.
    • (I'm starting to think Dengeki means the second attack for Dus Majarra but without pics I'm not sure. The third attack is kind of a swipe, whereas the second attack would resemble arrows rapidly firing on the ground.)
  • Weapon Balances
    • Sword: The Sword's swing speed is faster. From the third attack, you can  Just attack by Photon Arts.
    • (I never had a problem doing this…)
    • The Twin Saber Photon Art, "Blade Destruction" power has slightly decreased.
  • Infinity Mission
    • A mission code can drop from the Boss boxes.
    • (Well sakai has said you can get mission codes inside infinity missions so no surprise here.)
  • Technics
    • Nagrants: Shoot balls of light that pursues a locked on enemy. Their trajectory resembles the "Card" weapon type.
  • Other stuff
    • Duman's stamina is extremely low, they can easily be affected by status effects.
    • Wynarl has comedic dialogue, and has a connection with Mika and Kumhan but Sakai didn't want to spoil.

2ch comment,  "While reading the magazine at the store, I saw that if you rebirth at level 100 you get 60 bonus point. At high levels bonus points tend to increase. And some parameters(stats) require more bonus points than others."
