A new feature in Phantasy Star Portable 2 allows you to download your friends' characters online and through ad-hoc mode. This allows you to bring your friends along with you on missions offline. Sega Development Staff will be giving out their character data for you to download at several play events across Japan.

The first character is セガ子ちゃん or Sega for short. She wears a female variation of Ethan's outfit with the Sega Logo on it. She is a Dewman level 60 and Hunter Level 10.

Segako-chan wears the official Sega logo on her jacket. She also gives out a mission code when you download her.

Sakai's Official Character
Sakai has upgraded his character to Sakai Version 2. The reason for this is because those who previously downloaded his character but did not purchase the pay DLC outfit "Sakai Suit" could only see Sakai in default clothes. Now Sakai will wear the official Sega outfit like Segakochan. Sakai will personally send out his character through passive communications with the PSP. This can occur if you arrive at the specified gameshops in Japan.
As for the other characters, they will also be distributed this way, and those who already received the characters should turn off their WLAN switch. However, there may be a case where Sega staff may have to transfer characters through a party. Please contact Sega staff at the events for further instructions.

To manually perform this, create a new folder called NPJH90157DL under the SAVEDATA folder, then insert the DLM.DAT file inside the NPJH90157DL.
So you guys noticed the Fusion Weapon system was glitched? So did Sakai…
- There can be a case that after performing weapon synthesis (weapon fusion) you get stuck at the counter when you don't have any other weapons you can fuse.
- When using technics while strafing, you can still release technics even when no sufficient PP is available.
- Even if a CASH download weapon is extended, the values it is supposed to have is not applied within multimode.
These are the three main bugs Sakai pointed out but there's more according to 2ch and Japanese wikis and a new FAQ.
- When placing multiple Calorie Mate room items in your room, if you perform the action to "remove all room items at the same time", the process does not work as intended. You must manually remove multiple Calorie Mates from your room.
- There can be a case where Kubara Grenades do not hit the correct number of targets.

Some of today's spoilers are regarding the Phantasy Star Players Enjoy Club, which harks back to the olden days of Sega. It features a manga with various artwork and imagery one can see at the gathering halls for the Thanks Fan Festa 2011. In usual Terada fashion he has blocked out most of the imagery.
