In order to continue playing Phantasy Star Online 2, you are required to update your game. When you open the launcher, press the “ファイルチェック” file check button to begin the patching process.

When you start the launcher, it should automatically update, If it doesn't update properly, please restart the launcher. You can confirm these version numbers at the lower left corner of the Launcher, and lower right corner of the Game Client.

(If you are downloading the game for the first time, you will have to download an update which requires 2.4GBs of free space.)
As of September 12th, 2012, the Downloader program for Phantasy Star Online 2 has now updated. This is intended for people who have not downloaded PSO2 before.
You do not need to download this if you already have PSO2.
