Illust festival

We will be having an "Illustration Festival" to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Phantasy Star which first went on sale December 20th, 1987. SEGA will be accepting Phantasy Star related artwork from any game in the series.  Anyone can participate, no SEGA ID required! Results of this event will be published in mid February.

Entry Period

  • December 19th, 2012  ~ January 16th 2013

Submission Criteria

  • Original (exclusive, never before seen) artwork must be created by the submitter.
  • You can submit several pieces of artwork.
  • Up to 1MB JPG file.
  • Picture Size: 1280 x 720 (Required)
  • Please refrain from submitting artwork that was already posted on any other site.

The submissions page requires your email address, pen-name, artwork title, and a comment (less than 600 characters).

Phantasy Star Complete Collection (JP)

Relive the entire Phantasy Star Series' classics, all the way from the Phantasy Star 1 through Gaiden. You can purchase this collection on your PlayStation 3 through the Japanese PlayStation Store for 800 Yen.

  • Phantasy Star I
  • Phantasy Star II
  • Phantasy Star III: Successors of Time
  • Phantasy Star IV: End of the Millenium

PSO2 JP: Password Warning

Sega is reminding all players not to reuse the same password for their SEGA ID Login and Email Address. They ask that you change your password immediately since this can allow unauthorized access to your account.

Risk Factors:

  • Using the same password between your SEGA ID and Email address associated with that account.
  • Using the same SEGA ID and Email Address password on other sites as well.
  • Using old passwords on other sites for your SEGA ID and Email Address.

They have received numerous reports of players having all their items sold away. It is believed that someone gained access to their email addresses which subsequently allowed them to log into the game.  They performed an internal investigation and could not confirm any user information and password leak on their end.

PSO2 Vita Playable at Jump Festa 2013

Phantasy Star Online 2 Vita version will be appearing at this year's Jump Festa 2013. Those attending can play PSO2 Vita on December 22nd and 23rd. Attendees will also receive the Phantasy Star Series 25th Anniversary Sound Collection after playing.

Alienware Promotional Item

Alienware Japan is distributing yet another promotional item with the purchase of their M14x Premium Laptop or Alienware X51 Premium Desktop.

The item to be distributed is called M＆Aヴァイス/リヒト or M&A Vice /Licht which appears to be based on the M&A 60 Vice weapon from PSO. This is also the first itemcode under the new "Licht" suffix.

 

Misc. Notes

  • Sakai and Kimura had a little chat about paying customers
  • Half of paying customers purchase the Premium Set
  • Implied most paying customers purchase the AC Scratch.
  • Out of all paying customers, only half of those who purchase AC scratch, would buy the Premium Set.
  • Since players can purchase specific features out of the Premium Set, perhaps they feel the set is of no value.
