What makes the Chrome Dragon appear?

  • This is all we know for now until the official PSO2 Vita FAQ launches.
  • The Chrome Dragon appears on the PlayStation Vita version, but those players can lead to him showing up on the PC version.
  • He appears as an interrupt event only in the PS Vita and PSVita/PC Shared blocks. However players who encountered him on those blocks have a chance to make him appear on PC Exclusive blocks.
  • Also when crossing parties with players who have met these conditions, the chrome dragon also has a chance to appear to players who have not.

[The Chrome Dragon is like viral outbreak simulation, coming in contact with players who have it seems to set the flag for making him appear. Which goes all the way back to Fang Banther. Maybe you didn't necessarily defeat him in the Emergency Quest, but you may have come in contact with someone who did.]

PSO2 JP: Weapon Camouflage

In a recent Famitsu magazine, Sakai has announced a new feature called the "Weapon Camouflage System," which allows you to camouflage your weapon into another weapon. Shougai comments how this feature could be useful for those magazine /nacht weapons which have a tendency to be very weak.

Guitar Case

In the example they gave,  you can apply the Guitar Case Weapon Camouflage onto a Red Rifle. Though its appearance may have changed, its stats are left untouched.

Shougai commented that if they allow you to do pre-existing weapons, you could have the Mehren Nenka (double saber) look like a Gwanahdouble.

Basically, this Camouflage system is like Mag Evolution Devices for weapons, but only in that it changes the weapon's physical appearance.

10 Star Item Trading?

Also in that same magazine, Sakai commented on allowing players to trade 10 star items. He couldn't give out any details but only players who meet certain conditions will be able to trade 10 star items with other fellow players.

Unfortunately, we have no idea on what enables you to trade these items, but we're pretty sure you could make an educated guess around here. We do not have a time frame as to when this feature would be enabled.
