PSPo2: Sakai Does America, Knights, RAPPY of Hope

A few days ago Sakai made a brief post about his trip to America. Yes, seriously I had no idea he even went to E3. Would have been a fun if someone interviewed him! While he's recovering from jetlag he posted a few pictures of his trip.

Sakai visits the Phantasy Star Portable 2 booth where he says the GM of PSU explains details about the game. Is that Edward? Why is his face blurred?

Sakai also went around Los Angeles and took a picture with the "Hollywood Sign" as a backdrop. If you want to see more of his picture you can visit his blog.

Knights of Steel Flowers

The Knights of Steel Flowers have been released on the Japanese Playstation Network Store. Sakai released some screenshots so you can get a better look at them before you take the plunge.

Back when Sega displayed the winners of the fanart contest. I was checking out 2ch to see if they got the joke behind the "RAPPY" art. I don't think they fully understood it but they thought the artwork was great, and Shougai loved the second place winner.

Knights of Steel

Sakai showed off some lovely concept art for the next download items after the Phantasy Star Zero weapons.

There are many private military companies fiercely competing within the Gurhal Solar System. The one that many of you would know by now is the Little Wing, and the largest company would be The Guardians.  So we introduce one such private company known as the Knights of Steel Flowers.

Little Wing Rivals: 鋼華の騎士団

The costume has a sort of Cherry Blossom feel but with a militaristic approach. Like the Disciplinary Committee, they may possibly have their own unique weapons, but we'll see.

Weapons of Zero

The Pretty Parasol from Phantasy Star Zero will make it's debut.

 

The Sealed Yonohate Sword from Phantasy Star Zero.

We know everyone wants to know if the Sealed Yonohate Sword will "unseal" after a certain amount of hits, but Sakai did not say. Each DLC costs 200 Yen and is available only at the Japanese Playstation Store at June 11, 2010.

Sonic's Birthday 2010

It's that time of the year again, Sonic's Birthday will be celebrated exclusively on Xbox360. This time they are commemorating the release of the Supplemental Update which will have no Guardians Cash and no Free Course Play. Well the former is pretty good news for the community as a whole. 

Sonic will appear on Xbox 360 PSU servers June 23rd, 2010!

Maximum Attack X will come to a close on May 20th, 2010, MAX I through IV will be delivered to multimode so everyone can finally play it. There will also be an exchange mission from Emilia where you exchange a お楽しみ引換券 [coupon ticket] to receive the weapons that were featured each week during the event.  MAX Multimode missions will feature the bonus block, however the drop rate boosts will not be in effect.

Cast parts for the following clothes have been postponed to a later date.

Phantasy Star Universe Supplemental Update

Sega of America released the first batch of supplemental update news which focuses more on Photon Art changes. Since the list is extremely long we'll list the highlights.

  • Class Changes
    • Advanced types Guntecher and Wartecher will be able to wield double sabers up to A Rank.
    • Fighgunner: Base attack strength increased.
    • Guntecher: Base attack strength increased.
    • Wartecher: Base attack strength, base accuracy, base TECHNIC strength, base defense, base evasion, base mental strength increased.
    • Fortegunner: Base attack strength increased.
    • Fortetecher: Base evasion increased.
    • Protranser: Base attack strength and base accuracy increased.
    • Acrofighter: Base attack strength increased.
    • Acrotecher: Base attack strength and base TECHNIC strength increased.
    • Gunmaster: Base attack strength increased.
    • Masterforce: HP, base TECHNIC strength, and base evasion increased.
  • SUV Balancing
    • Grade-S SUV Weapons added.
    • '16-ton Weight' and Rappy sometimes produced by "Ascension Gift" SUV will have increased power.
    • Power and range of Paradi Cataract SUV Weapon reduced.
  • Photon Art Changes
    • Longbow Photon Arts will have firing speed and attack strength increased. At PA Level 41 and above, attacks will also inflict a Level 5 Status Ailment.
    • Grenade Photon Arts will have their PP cost reduced. At PA Level 41 and above, their accuracy modifier will be increased.
  • Technics
    • Diga: The status ailment level will be increased. At Level 41 and above, the number of targets that can be locked on will be increased.
    • Radiga: The poison status ailment will be added.
    • Gidiga: Power and activation speed will be increased. The silence status ailment will be added.
    • Barta: The status ailment level will be increased.
    • Gibarta: Power, status ailment level and activation speed will be increased

Expect news on the Guardians Advanced Style and new clothes and missions at a later time.
