Interesting Finalists

Hatsuhanatsuki

A kimono style outfit of a Dewman. She has a Japanese playing card covering the eye instead of the typical eyepatch.

Girls Knight

The artist's first contribution. She imagined a female knight. Her line shield is the yellow lining on her outfit. The lily motif is supposed to shine or something.

Pop Cuteen

A cute and pop style outfit as a girl's uniform. That little kakuwane will come in different colors. Near the belt are these little "girls scout"-like patches which are references to PSO.

Dreadnought

Is this a rifle? A Sword? Nope! It's a double saber. The GRM company developed this weapon to exterminate the SEED.

[designer: hoehoe]

PF Dinobite

Another GRM weapon created by Professor Dinoski. Fusing the power of SCIENCE with a monster created this wild mechanical sword. The photon is within the mouth and is flame like. The mouth opens up even when you swing the sword.

[designer: RYU]

Blitz Blatz

It is a miniature battle ship that's used as a figure for the handgun.

[designer: Joker]

Air Shooter

Air Shooter is a machine gun that shoots out tornados. The photon is represented in the bullet itself. It will change the tornado's color with a slight glow of the element.

Nekomanma

Nekomanma which is apparently slang for catfood has an interesting story behind it. Apparently the artist has never played PSPo2 at all. It was made for Female Newmans. Pumpkin-san, the designer, later posted that they realized they didn't add a line shield to the outfit because they never knew of such a thing. So Pumpkin-san decided that the eyes on the cat are the line shield. The bag may have a similar shade of green, but the cat's eyes are officially the line shield.

Shining Force Cross Raid and Border Break Collaborates with PSP2i

I feel for you guys. Sonic gets all the A-list Sega Stars, and yet we get…

Sega has announced a collaboration plan for Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity using arcade games, "Shining Force Cross Raid" and "Border Break Air Burst". Expect pay DLC of weapons and costumes based on the characters of each game.

In addition, Border Break Air Burst and Shining Force Cross Raid will have a cross collaboration with PSP2i. So characters from Infinity will appear in those games as costumes and weapons.

Additional Comment

Shining Force Cross Raid makes for a great concept on how the basics of PSO2 could play out. Seriously…

The Infinity Guide Book for Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity

This post contains information of what's presented in a special book and is not a guide for the actual game. Sega is giving out the "Infinity Guide Book" in participating game shops across Japan.  It has 20 pages chocked full of the latest information of PSP2i.

The UMD Demo, will also be given out to those who sign up for a special drawing. The Guide Book has a postcard which can be sent to an address to enter the drawing. You must write the names of up to 4 players total on the postcard then attach a 50 yen stamp on top of it.

Sega will send out 10,000 UMD demos of PSP2i to the selected winners. The Winner  will act as a representative to the other 3 players, and can then install the UMD demo onto their memory sticks.

Friday December 24th, 2010 is the deadline for this application. You can view a page sample here, or just wait until tomorrow where this page will magically update.

The contents of the guidebook were actually mentioned before during a previous posts' Gurhal Gossip.
