PSO2 JP: 7/2 Server Connection Issues

EDIT: All services have been restored, and everyone seems to be able to connect as usual. The original story is below:

There appears to be an issue with several ISPs/locations connecting to PSO2 servers and the website. SEGA has announced that they are aware of the problem and looking into it, and apologies for the inconvience.

For those who can't access the page, it essentially says "Currently, there is an issue where players cannot connect to the server and website. We are investigating the cause and a fix. Until it is resolved, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please be patient until functionality is restored. Thank you."

Update: SEGA has updated the above link with further details about their "fix":

Translation: "Around July 2nd at 15:50 JST, there was an issue where it was not possible for some people to connect to the game server and website. This issue was resolved around 16:25 JST. Currently, there are no problems with the data center or game center, and we have confirmed that we can connect normally. We have also received some reports that people cannot connect after this fix. Because of this, there is a possibility that a failure has occurred in the connection being used, so please contact your ISP. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused everyone."

However, numerous regions and ISPs (including some of the Japanese players) still cannot connect to the game or the website. We are hopeful that this is a temporary issue and will be resolved in a timely manner. We'll update this post as this situation develops.

Update: All services have been restored, and everyone seems to be able to connect as usual.

PSO2JP: Server issues (9/16/2017)

UPDATE: Sega has acknowledged the issue and are investigating it. They don't currently have an ETA on when the servers will be up.

UPDATE 2: Sega has officially classified it as Emergency Maintenance. It appears that a failure with the server equipment caused the issue. They don't currently have an ETA for maintenance completion, but they are considering providing compensation for the downtime.

UPDATE 3: Sega has said that the emergency maintenance will force the rescheduling of the 2:00 JST ARKS League and the 7:00 JST Magisterial Onslaught. They will be rescheduled for a later date. They're sorry for the inconvience and ask that we remain patient and calm while they work on the server.

UPDATE 4: Sega says that they hope to have the servers online by 10:00 JST.

UPDATE 5: Servers are back online!

Many people (both JP and non-JP players) have begun reporting issues with the servers not allowing them to login, move to different ships/rooms, and disconnecting them at random. SEGA has not announced anything at this time, and the cause of the issues is unknown. We'll update this post with more information as it becomes available.

To re-iterate: This is happening to both JP and non-JP players

PSO2 JP: Emergency Maintenance (6/11/2017)

Earlier today, the Phantasy Star Online 2 servers experienced an Emergency Maintenance. The development team identified the issue and carried out a server equipment exchange to prevent the possibility of future data loss.

Emergency Maintenance Complete

  • June 11th @ 20:00 ~ June 12th 2:00 JST

Maintenance Reasoning

  • An issue discovered with the server could possibly cause data loss

The development team discovered an issue with the server equipment that could potentially cause data/player data loss in the future. They have completed investigating the issue, and don't forsee a need to rollback any data at this time.

Course of Action

  • They will be rescheduling the EQs that were scheduled to take place at 20:00 JST, 22:00 JST, and 2:00 JST.
  • They are considering some form of compensation for users
