Famitsu has just released some new screenshots of Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity. Even though some of the information was already released, we can actually see what some of the techs look like. Click image thumbnails for larger size..

Nagrants

With Friend Search you can trade out and accept characters into your game. When you transfer your character to another player, you will also give out your registered Mission Code, which can be used to create Infinity Missions.
Your character's status, auto word, mission code, and equipment is sent out as character data. You can only accept 5 characters at a time, but can ultimately store up to 32 friend characters which can be used as partner characters.
HIIII! Gurhal Channel 5 Gossip Show! PICKUP! Remember that NICE BOOK Terada showed but blurred the picture? Well it appears a few fans got the book early and released some information from it. Though using 2ch as a source can be kind of sketchy, but they have been known to release actual information really fast. So while browsing the site I noticed everyone was using brand new terminology I've never heard before. What's a Fusion Code? Extend Code Infinity?? Weapon Synthesis? Is this PSO2 news or something?
Importing: Various Phantasy Star games can be imported into PSP2. All data from Phantasy Star Portable 2 is transferred over to Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity's Demo and Full version. If you import your game this way, you will get 5 Fusion Codes.
If you just started out, you can play the Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Demo, then transfer all data into Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Full version.
You can also transfer from PSP1 and PSU Japan, but those games will only net you 1 Effect Module and the IXAM (Exam) Saber.
In the booklet there's information about some new aspects about the game but Sega was very vague about the descriptions.
Extend Code Infinity: With this item you can grind a favorite weapon again… (This probably means you can grind already "Extended" weapons.)
Weapon Fusion System: If you synthesize the same weapons, it can increase the attribute's percentage. (Weapon A + Weapon A = Weapon A with higher element percentage.)
Fusion Code: These are needed to synthesize weapons. (Since you get 5 of these for importing, I assume they must be really rare.)
Shared Storage Box: The Shared Storage Box has increased from 1000 to 2000.
Racial Restrictions Abolished: The feature where certain clothes/parts and hairstyles were usable by certain races has been abolished.
Planet Treasure: Scattered across Gurhal? you can collect "Planet Treasures" and trade them for rare items.
There has been some information I can't verify because no one has taken pictures of the following info. So you can read these in spoiler boxes until verified.
[spoiler]
A few posters said the Demo will be available in January. Another poster said the Demo will have a type level cap of 20, and a character level cap of 100. He says it is unknown what happens to those who import their characters who are higher than this cap.

Dengeki Magazine
Dengeki Magazine provided us with some new information among old information. Shougai PSO was able to capture information from it.
- Casting Techs while strafing.
- You can now cast techs with TCSM while strafing.
- So Wands and TCSM can cast techs while strafing.
- Strafing occurs when you hold the L key while moving.
- New Technics
- There will be 6 new technics each corresponding to an element.
- We know 4 of these technics so far.
- Fire: Foverse
- Ice: Sabarta
- Lightning: Sazonde
- Ground: UNKNOWN
- Light: Nagrants
- Dark: UNKNOWN
- Nagrants
- Nagrants shoots 5 lasers consecutively to a locked on target.
- We now know the laser bullets will pursue the locked-on enemy.
- SG Comment: If it follows automatically or manually, we don't know the details yet.
- Friend Search
- It works in Story Mode and Sleep Mode.
- We know it can accept up to 5 character data at a time.
- This is before you register the data as "friend characters" into your game.
- If you just so happen to turn off the PSP after you received the 5 character data…
- You will lose all unregistered friend search characters.
- Be sure to register the characters that you want before turning off the PSP.
- Friend Search Parameters that transfer over.
- A friend search character's level will be in proportion to the party leader level.
- (This case is made as an exception, so your friend character still has a level but their level is changed according to your level.)
- If the following condition is met, the friend character's equipment is not inherited.
- *** According to the party leader, if the level drops, their friend character's real weapons won't show up.
- *** If this occurs, the friend search character will show subordinate weapons in the same category.
- (So for example, If you are Level 50, and you acquire My character who is level 100 and has Saika Hyori (twin daggers) equipped…)
- (Once you invite him to the party, you won't see Saika Hyori. Instead you will see lower ranking twin daggers.)
- (I believe this happens because technically an S rank weapon shouldn't be held by a LVL50 character.)
- (By the time you reach LV 70, Saika Hyori can be equpped.)
- Present from My Character
- We know friend character will give a present if their "Partnership Rating" aka "Friendship Degree" rises and reaches a certain point.
- And this happens when you clear missions with friend characters.
- When your Friendship degree rises, you will get a "special thing" from your own character.
- SG Comment: This special thing doesn't seem to have the same shape of a Photon Art Disk.
- SG Comment: The details are missing about this thing…
- Present from the Friend Character
- We know that a friend character will give a present if their "Friendship Degree" rises and reaches a certain point.
- We also know the friend character will give out items like a photon art disk to your character.
- When the friendship degree rises, Friend characters will give out Photon Disks that they personally acquired.
- The level of the Photon Art Disk is based on the leader's character level.
- SG Comment: It appears as though you only get Photon Art discs as presents..
- SPECIAL BONUS
- A surprise! When characters of different race/sex exist together in a party a special bonus is given.
- The Special bonus is based on the amount of people in the party who have different race/sex
- The Bonus is related to the Friendship Degree aka Partnership Rating
- The more people in the party, the better!
- Details about this "Bonus" is unknown…

Additional Comments
Essentially I think all this means is, Friend Characters levels will change to your level. But they still have their own level as evidenced by previous screenshots including the one at the top of the post. Sonic (LV50 Duman) received his friend character Tails (LV30 Newman) through friend search. So Sonic will see Tails with his real weapons and equipment because Sonic's level is above Tails. When they go out on a mission together, Tail's level would change according to Sonic's level.
