On June 30th, 2010, a new exchange mission さすらいの星間行商人【第3弾】 Wandering Interstellar Peddler 3 will be delivered to the Japanese Phantasy Star Portable 2. You can exchange various items to receive weapons and parts. This mission can be accessed via Story Mode > 交換ミッション Exchange Mission.

There is an issue where the PSP shuts off during gameplay. This issue occurs to some users in Internet Multimode when the party is disbanded.  The current workaround for this issue, all members in the party (other than the leader) should leave first and return to the title menu. The leader should then disband the party. This issue is under current investigation.

• Can’t connect to Internet Multimode? Remember to update your PSP firmware to 6.30.
• Gamestop has changed the release date for US version of PSPo2 9/14/2010.

A few days ago Sakai made a brief post about his trip to America. Yes, seriously I had no idea he even went to E3. Would have been a fun if someone interviewed him! While he’s recovering from jetlag he posted a few pictures of his trip.

Sakai visits the Phantasy Star Portable 2 booth where he says the GM of PSU explains details about the game. Is that Edward? Why is his face blurred?

The Knights of Steel Flowers have been released on the Japanese Playstation Network Store. Sakai released some screenshots so you can get a better look at them before you take the plunge.

Back when Sega displayed the winners of the fanart contest. I was checking out 2ch to see if they got the joke behind the “RAPPY” art. I don’t think they fully understood it but they thought the artwork was great, and Shougai loved the second place winner.

Quick Update:

Siliconera is reporting there will be some “western” magazine tie in items that may possibly replace the Famitsu weapons and shield.  Whether these items will be re-branded or completely brand new will still have to be seen.

For the Japanese version, these magazine collaboration items could only be obtained through inputting a password within the vision phone inside your room.

Possibly Sega can create a new model to replace this Dengeki Magazine mascot.

Siliconera also reports the Valkyria Chronicles 2 weapons and uniforms are confirmed to be within the US/EU version of the game. You can take a look at a list of items that will currently have licensing issues for Sega of America and Europe.
