New Quest Type: Time Extension Quest

• Defeat all waves of enemies within the time limit.
• The time limit increases each time a target enemy is defeated.
• Four Quests will be added:
  • Lowland Combat Patrol Mission
  • Lowland Extermination
  • Frozen Forest Combat Patrol Mission
  • Frozen Forest Extermination
• Can be accepted at any time at the quest counter, but the region in which the quest takes place changes daily.
• The "Extermination" quests are the more challenging ones.
• Photon Boost Crates appear during the quest. These grant ability enhancements for a set amount of time.
• Since the ability enhancements are set individually, you must judge which enhancements are best to acquire.
• New Title Tasks can be completed upon finishing these quests.

• A solo battle against Ringwedge, a new Starless Boss in Retem Alnothe
• Ringwedge is noted by its combo attacks mixed with blades and powerful footwork.
• Rewards include a Vital Gauge design.
• This enemy will have lower HP and Attack Power than previous Duel Quests, so it will be easier to take them out even if you don't have Defi-type Special Abilities targeting this quest.
• In addition, the Defi-type Special Ability targeting this quest is easier to obtain than previous Defi-types.
• This clear time for Rank S with this quest has been slightly extended.
• C/Glan Gigas Maste has been added to the Item Lab via [Exchange Special Ability Capsule]. Collect C/Magnif Fusia and C/Gigas Maste to exchange them.

• Complete the Tasks to get Spring '24 SP Scratch Tickets, Reward Box Medal '24, and Titles.
• New items will be added to the Seasonal Point Exchange shop like Materials and Ability Capsules!

Design Intent for Time Extension Quests

These were designed to be new high difficulty quests in the vein of Duel Quests and Dark Falz fights. After hearing player feedback of wanting high difficulty quests to have a difficulty level for practice runs, the devs have added 2 difficulty levels (Normal & Hard) on a trial basis. They will addjust their approach to high difficulty quests based on how these quests are played.

The normal difficulty version finishes at WAVE 6, while the hard difficulty version goes through WAVE 7 and beyond with corresponding jumps in difficulty and rewards.

Allowing the Replacement of Preset Skills

A recent update made it possible to add Preset Skills to weapons without them. The dev team has receive a lot of requests to also allow players to change these Preset Skills after they've been added. They are currently working on a plan to accomodate this.

Allowing Direct Use of C/Enymio As Enhancement Material

In a future update, the development team plans to improve the Item Enhacement process by allowing C/Endymio to be directly selected as a material. This would reduce the time and effort spent on exchanging Gold Prim II items.

In addition, for content released after this improvement, they plan to have C/Endymio dropped directly instead of Gold Prim II.

Saving Last Tab Used When Enhancing Weapons / Armor

An improvement will be made for the Item Lab where the dev team plans to change the specs so that info on your current tab for weapons & armor is saved until you exit the game. This update will make it easier to perform consecutive enhancements.

Boss enemies randomly made into Megalotix due to Megalotix Challenge Settings in Cocoons and such are affecting the results of ARKS Records. Could something be done about this?

To resolve this issue, they are adding an "Always Make Megalotix" setting to the Challenge Settings. They are also considering adjusting the Challenge Settings for "Maximum Enemy HP" and "Enemy Attack Power" to make them easier to use when playing. They plan to implement these changes around April.

Could you give us a few more details about the new field introduced in the December 2023 Headline?

Unlike current regions, you'll be visiting the new field as a setting for the Story and Special Quests. Overall it's about the same size as South Retem and is composed of as 3 zones with significantly different landscapes. Two of which will be unlocked when it's first released.

Most enemies that appear will be Starless, but some new enemies will be released as well.

The special quests are being worked on, but the gameplay will combine exploration and combat sectors and will not require the same level of expertise as Leciel Exploration.

There's no specific place for posting feedback that will make it easier for your comments to be picked up by the team. The development and live ops teams look at a weekly compilation of posts from the miscellaneous issues / questions section on the Support page of the NGS Official Site. They also look at posts with hashtag NGS on X and other social media pages and topics on the official discord. They then have a discussion and consider how to respond.
