Every new Sonic game follows the same pattern.
- Highly anticipated!
- Great Visuals!
- Sega’s Last Chance!
- Product is Released!
- Low Review Scores!
- Angry Fans
- “True” Fans vs Angry Fans.
- Next year, a New Sonic Game Announced.
- Rinse Lather and Repeat.
Once it reaches the point where “True” Fans:
- Whom, quite frankly, can’t spell.
- Can’t ever see any flaws in any Sonic game.
- Thinks their ideas are the best.
- Hates IGN and Gamespot reviewers with a passion.
- Wants every character in the game because they are soo cool!
- Will have a temper tantrum on anyone who criticizes the game.
- Will bow down before God aka Ryan Drummond.
- Will write fanfiction with their own “original” character with supapowerzzz!!11
- Will post tl;dr topics about why everyone hates their favorite character.
Again once it reaches the point where “True” Fans argue with Angry Fans, the whole internet universe explodes with trolling, angry letters, petitions, you suck, we all suck, nobody cares, just a plain ol’ mess thats only cured once a new sonic game is announced.
So a new Sonic Game has been announced! Will Sega make a critically acclaimed game that will calm everyone down, or will it end up being a failure like Sonic 06. Only time will tell.

Now if only Simcity Societies could look like this..
But there’s one site I’d love to give a shout out to, and thats campsonic.com. You have organized all the information into one visually pleasing site and you win my Web 2.0 Honors! If only other Sonic Sites out there could follow in your footsteps. Unfortunately your comments section has been overrun by “True” Fans, but thats just the price to pay. Congrats!

Thanks for the shout mate. You’ve got a wonderful looking site here as well.
You make an interesting case between "True Fans vs. Angry Fans" here, but to me there is one flaw with your argument. You see, at least for me, the True Fans are the SAME as the ones who have been angry all this time.
I’m of course referring to players like you and I who grew up with the real Sonic, and can’t swallow this crap SEGA’s been producing recently. Aren’t we the "True" fans?
I’m just arguing syntax, but I think this is really the "True" Fans vs. Youth Gamers (who quite frankly, can’t spell as you pointed out)
Also, we have a fair share of retro fans and modern Sonic fans at Camp Sonic, but I do a pretty good job of letting my opinions shower all over them… being the professional journalist type I am.
Ah Yes, "True" Fans and True Fans are quite different. "True" Fans do refer to the youth gamers. For all these years of 3D Sonic Games, they have grown into this large fanatical user base that runs on fanfiction, putting every character possible into a game, and bashing anyone who gives a negative opinion.
I would love for "True" fans to think of themselves as consumers, its not a sin to dislike a particular sonic game in the franchise, its not bad to skip purchasing on a game due to its lackluster quality. You don’t need to have Shadow, Silver, Amy, Rouge, Espio, Vector, Nack, as playable characters just so that they can appear in some convoluted story as to why they are there. Its okay to have doubts for a game before it comes out.
They have this weird viewpoint going on that makes them look so crazy to onlookers.
