Even if you disable the plugin, the problem will still occur. To fix it, exit out of aim, then go to this location (drive letter may differ of course): C:\Program Files\Translator. In the Translator folder, there should be an uninstall .exe file, run that. This should also be in the add/remove wizard in the control panel, just be sure you’ve quit out of aim before you run the uninstall file either way. Their are two .dll files that won’t delete unless AIM is closed, and the problem won’t be fixed until they’re gone. Hopefully this fixes your problem, as it fixed it for me.

List all the plugins you have installed. There is another Translation type plugin thats not listed in this article.

It’s not the Translator plug-in.
I unchecked that, and it’s still not working.
Plus, I have it installed on my other computer, and I’ve never encountered this problem on that computer before.

If you using Aim 6.8 your plugins tab has moved into the bottom of the buddy list, and thats where you will be able to disable any plugins that you have installed.

Hey, what if there is no “Plugins” tab? I never downloaded ANY plugins for Aim, and as soon as i installed Aim, it started this “Translate” message over and over. How do i stop it?
