Hello. I had the screen name “Randolphs SK”. It was registered as an AIM only account. I sent an email to the UK email listed above and they have suspended it. I am in the USA (New York). I can confirm this works. Most likely by luck. Good luck!

i have wanted to delete my aol screenname, but its been so long i dont remember the master name or the card i used to start it up with. it is no longer a paid account and i cannot delete it in anyway.
if i dont check it for a while will it just be dleted?

So not only is there no US equivalent of that email address, but US users can’t use the UK address, either; they just get bounced back to US methods for cancellation. That’s how *I* take what Gaz is saying.

And I’ve just briefly glanced at comments on this page since I don’t have time to read them all right now and I see I’ve been remiss in not keeping you guys updated: the cancel.aol.com link still works but there’s quite a rigmarole you have to go through to access AOL’s cancel form from there, so I wrote up new instructions a few weeks ago (easiest ever, since I found a shortcut that AOL was hiding):

Whats sad is we don’t even have the equivalent of this email address for the US servers. We have to use the UK one just to do it. I think it’s safe to say that this method works and will now become the most highest recommendation now.

Whoooooohoooo!!! I think it’s going to work for me (email termination with UK that is) I got a reply immedietly from them as soon as I requested termination, they are processing the info now.

Thanks Gaz, that’s what I was waiting for…someone to say it doesn’t work for AOL US customers. I didn’t think it would, so I’ve held off on making a post to see how it turned out for US users first.

WBMike, did you ever figure out the answer to my question? I can’t even recall what I asked you so I’d have to dig through like a month of email now to find what I’m trying to think of.

so my screen name got suspended by emailing CancelWSAUK@aol.com , but i have been trying to suspend another sn of mine, and i find it weird that it is not working this time. i don’t understand why it worked before I’d say around September, and now it is not working. >[
