How to Stop Aim Invite Messages
Hi We’re Back! So some of you have been receiving messages about some buddy inviting you to their buddy profile. Its not such a terrible thing to do but if you get many invites you might get annoyed. There are two sets of messages, follow the one that pertains to you:
AIM: Hey! Good news! Somebody says they are your buddy and wants you to show up on their AIM Profile.
- Visit Aim Profile Edit
- Uncheck Notify Me Via IM If I have Buddy Requests…
- Click Save!
AIM Pages Invite: Someone has invited you to be a Buddy on their profile. Want to become a part of their network? Find out who it is now.
- Visit My Buddies Settings
- Uncheck Notify me of AIM Pages Buddy Requests

your my hero, thank you
Why don’t they just identify the person making the invite–why tell me to click a link to find out who it is? I assume that means it’s not from someone I actually know–right?
Thanks!
I cant seem to find the "Notify Me Via IM If I have Buddy Requests" option, I am guessing it has changed since you last made this post. I am constantly annoyed by this bot so I was wondering if there is another way to stop it from IMing you. I have tried blocking it and everything but nothing seems to work.
Does anybody know how to get rid of the messages on Adium or ichat for a mac?
@Falco – same way. I’m using Adium and just did this, and it worked for me!

thanksss!!!! driving me crezy
I wish I got a solution relevant to block crappy microsoft messenger live that persistently keeps preaching their proprietary sacred way of divine inspiration through invitations periodically over me. Like TV, or spams, they are just trying to catch our attention in any way until the time that I wipe out all their possesions over their pity existence through unregistering.
I’m sorry, what exactly are you trying to block about MSN?
Hi WBMike. I am receiving anonymous/fake invitations every time I signed in at WLM. At first times, I haven’t cared about them and just blocked and denied their invitation. But relevant obviously fake and related invitations based on hotmail domain keep coming continuously about every 2 days. Since I know who am I contacting and can arrange my contact list as I wish, it would be nice to be able to prevent invitations popups from flashing or completely disable them for a while. Thanks then, for asking about.
