“Orbidden” IMs Fix in Aim

Orbidden IMs are probably caused by the Translator Plugin but then again things got complicated after it occurred without the translator plugin installed. So lets go over some of the symptoms you are having, there has not been a known fix to people without the translator plugin.
1. Aim Freezes for a more than 20 seconds
2. Every new additional IM you get states "Orbidden"
3. The Hard Drive loads excessively.
This problem is Unsolved and no true fix has been found, you can follow the suggestions below but it may or may not fix your problem.
It was hinted to a while ago but was hard to find people to test out theories to get back to you quickly. In trying to fix this problem you’ll just have to disable or change the Translation to NONE. This bug usually occurs randomly where every new IM you receive states the message, "Orbidden" .
Suggestion: How to Disable the Translator Plugin if you Recieve "Orbidden" Messages
1. Click on Edit
2. Click On Settings
3. Click on Plugins
4. Uncheck Translator
5. Click Save
There you have it.

I fix my “orbidden” problem… i deleted my aim 6.5 software did a search on my computer for anything that had orbidden in it.. deleted the file and reinstalled aim and baboom it worked!!!!! no more texting and getting orbidden!! ahhh
I fixed my orbidden by going to edit, settings, plugins then unchecking translator and saving it. then signed off and everything was back to normal!!
did NOT work for me.
ps: i had some plugins installed. i deleted them all. including the translator. i went back to aim, orbidden was stil showing up, i went to settings> plugins. they were all gone EXCEPT translator, even though i uninstalled it.
I fixed mine, but when i scaned my computer, there were tons of files nammed “orbidden” and t he just kept duplicating and duplicating. like a cell. so i shut of my computer modem, deleted all of them and it went away.
i tried everything listed here. i too had unistalled translator and it was still there. i uncheckd it, saved it and still nothing. i’m still tryin’ a bunch of stuff though. maybe i skipped over something.
I fixed my “orbidden” problem and i am sooo happy. All i did was go to edit, click stting, click on plugins, press save, and than i signed off. When i signed back on everything was back to normal. I am so happy!!!!!

ok so i am owrking on it. im searching my cp it hasnt found and orbiddens but yeth and same thing i removed it it still was on aim.. so i am still working on it
i had this problem too… thought it was a virus…unchecked translator..restarted aim..and there we go =P
NOTHING WORKS i unchecked it i deleted it and i deleted aim and tried to also reinstall it whoever made translater go to hell!!! PLEASE Help!!!!!!! i neeed it!!1

omg I HATE ORBIDDEN!!! my friends got all mad at me for freaking out!!!at first i though it was a joke my friends pulled on me but it wasn’t!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
omg b4 i knew wht orbidden was and all, omg heres a story. it was like midnight, me and my friend were IMing each other these problems to history, i had answers she didnt get in class, and she needed alot, and then in middle, she was like, stop saying orbidden! and im like, wha? and we go on and on and on, she asks me questions, like, whats number 17? and i tell her, and of course its shown orbidden, and i go on how, this is taking too long, I KNOW i cuold post a quick vid on bebo the answers, and shes all JUST STOP IT! and im all confused, lol and im like, ok, whats your number? we can call, and shes all mad like, IM GIONG TO LEAVE! and im all frustrated of course, cuz the past 45 minutes we lacked so much info and communication, and shes like, STOP SAYING ORBIDDEN, its not even a word i looked it up! and im like, whats orbidden?? and shes like, STOP SAYING IT! and im like, geez i said it like, once! so after like an hour shes like, im gong to call you, whats your number, and i tell her, and shes like, nvm i fuond it, and she calls, shes like, WHAT IS ORBIDDEN!?!?!??! and shes MADDDDDDd and im like, geeez, SOMEONES cranky at 1 am, and im all, hey, im trying to give you answers, give me a break, im srry if im not good enough, then she tells me about orbidden, and pastes wht she saw in IM, and we both start cracking up its so pathetically funny!…

This happened to me and it kept saying that when i was talking to my friends and i fixed it

nothing works! i searched my whole computer for “orbidden” files, deleted the translator, deleted AIM, and still nothing! ah!
it worked! “orbidden” is gone…all you have to do is go to edit>settings>plugins and then uncheck translator plugin and then i clicked save and signed off and on again and it was gone! im so damn happy!!!
i thought that all my friends just kept sending it to me to make me mad

I’m having problems right now…but instead of it saying orbidden, all the messeges I see from my friends is Translate…>_
So did you turn off translator?
yeah mine said translate for everything, just go to add/remove programs get ride of translator uncheck the puggin restart and your good to go
