Updated all skin pages for better readability.

Headers are now much larger and easier to read.

Files are now colored to place more emphasis on their names.

Each skin page will now have the skin's "official" supported version numbers highlighted to prevent users from attempting to install skins to the wrong folders.

The extraction page has undergone an extreme overhaul and now includes instructions on just about everything. It even details how to install a skin even if your version number does not match the instructions.

This is for Aim 6.5.9.1, the last 6.5 I have left.

This file extracts from the C:\ drive and overwrite existing files, but if you don't have the right version number it won't show up. So you can manually add the files back into your 6.5 version.

Yup. I quite literally installed aim and then extracted the files as needed where needed while aim wasn't running. I even checked aim before, and it looked fine. Once I put in your skin files, it looks like that ^^;

It's not supposed to look like that. Does it change that way under a clean install with no extra skins?

The skins are backwards compatible and work well with Aim 6.5 and up. If you go below 6.5, some elements may not show properly.

Well I think I was misunderstood. I got the skin to work fine with the new aim. My problem is that my text colors will randomly change from background red and silver text to background white and white text. No matter how many times I try to set red + silver as my default, it changes back, in the middle of IMs. I'm pretty sure that's an AIM problem. Not to mention, I really don't like all the extras the newest version has.

So I was asking Mike if he had old skin versions. so I could revert to an older AIM that I know worked the way I wanted it to.

Phoenix, The new version is infact out.

I followed the "quick" steps and just auto-extracted but that does not work, I would suggest manually moving the three files to their folders, it is a little bit tidious but it works well.

Hey Mike, New aim version out and I gotta say it blows. I'm trying to revert to an earlier version using the skin and my buddy list won't show. Though I tried using aim 8 - maybe I'll just got a few patches back. Anyways, the problem I'm having is the newest aim will recolor my text highlight color to white randomly.

Any ideas as to why either is happening..? I'm sure the buddy list not showing is cause I'm trying to use your 6.9 skin on a 6.8 version - so an older version of the skin would help there.

But the highlight text and all the invasive features are just blah! - I just want my old aim back now T_T

I tested this skin in Aim 6.9 and it works. It's just missing a few things so I'll have this skin updated probably this weekend. Unfortunately there is a bug where I can't change the "manage" and "get more" links at the bottom..

Well, I updated to 6.9, and just by looking at it, I have to say the skin won't work at all. It really looks fairly different from 6.8 all around. Maybe later on I'll back it up and try it anyway, but I just can't picture it working. I hope to see it converted for 6.9 at some point though. It's a great skin.

I personally haven't tested it with 6.9. According to Pheonix it works, but I still have not converted it to 6.9. So even though the graphics show up, there will still be areas that are left unchanged and won't match the skin. This area will most likely be the IM window since it underwent a drastic change.
