The most issues people have with AimExpress is the Popup Blocker message. Follow the workarounds in this post in order to fix this problem. After you have tried each and every workaround and it still doesn’t work please post a comment for additional assistance.
Below is a series of Workarounds for the following message:

*.aim.com

Workaround #4
Sign in at beta.webmail.aol.com OR meebo.com OR ebuddy.com OR meetro.com
I personally recommend meebo.com, if you sign up it will also log conversations.
beta.webmail.aol.com has AIM on the right sidebar.
If you have tried all 3 Workarounds and don’t want to use sites like Meebo.com to sign onto Aim, read the extra information below.
1. Do you have Anti-Virus installed?
Check your Anti-Virus firewall to see if its blocking popups or websites. Disable your Anti-Virus all together and test if Aim Express loads up. If it works, then your Anti-Virus is blocking the Aim Express website and you will have to consult your owner’s manual on how to allow popups for certain sites. This also include anti-spyware and other applications that are made to protect your computer from spyware.
2. Do you have toolbars installed?
You might have the Google Toolbar installed and it may be blocking popups. Please be sure to disable the popup blocker in Google Toolbar and try again. If you have other toolbars in IE, press ALT+V and Click Toolbars. Check and make sure that these toolbars have their popup blocker disabled or you can also uninstall the toolbar. Every major toolbar for Internet Explorer including AOL, Google, and Yahoo, have a popup blocker.
3. Do you have Javascript Disabled?
Sometimes Aim Express will popup successfully but Aim Express will not load the buddy list. If you have disabled scripts or your under a user account with the least amount of privileges, Aim Express will fail to load the javascript neccessary to launch it. Make sure you disable any script blocking programs and extensions in your browser and try again.

Hi;
Thanks for posting this , I tried to unblock all popup blockers and held the control . The buddy list still didnt pop up but at least I didnt get the message this time after holding the control. It got stock at loading the buddy list so I tried Mobee.com and it worked but I feel uncomfortable using the site. I will check my Java script next althoght I think it should be running and not disabled.Maybe you can help me with Youtube and how to play the videos without stopping and going . I checked a site and my bandwith connection to internet is supper so its not the internet connection . am just thinking that Youtubes servers are overloaded?
Thanks
When ever I try to use Aimexpress to IM when I am away from home I cant seem to log on IM. I always get the promblem messages you refer to above so its not my home computer that its doing this on it’s ALL the computers I try to IM on when I travel. So am I doing something wrong from my home computer in the set up? How can this error message be coming up from everyplace I try to log onto? I even go into the computers that I’m trying to use and add the addresses to allowed sites and take off their pop up blockers but it doesn’t seem to help. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
I’d use webmail.aol.com for AIM on the side panel. It works much better than Aim Express.
Thanks, I’ll try it.
Hi, problem. As soon as I sign into Aimexpress, my pop-up loads and everything –but my actual buddy list isn’t visible, it is just a blank white area in the middle under my screename and above the Menu and volume buttons. It worked before but stopped two days ago.
I also just tried webmail and it couldn’t sign me in because my connection to the AIM system has been lost.
Help!
Do you have flash player installed?
I’m not sure how to check if I do. What’s strange is that Aimexpress was working for the past two weeks –but three days ago is when this problem began.
Go to Adobe.com and click Get Adobe Flash Player
Then go to http://www.aim.com/aimexpress.adp and sign in.
IT DOESN’T WORK.
FORGET THIS.
