Aim 6.9 Skin: BumpXPink
Introduction
Bumpxpink is a black and pink Aim 6 skin.
It is a part of the bumpxseries pack which includes four skin colors:
- Bumpxred
- Bumpxblue
- Bumpxgreen
- Bumpxpink
Each skin is included in the pack, you do not need to download them separately.
Getting Started
Adding skins to Aim 6 requires the knowledge of using zip files, overwriting a file, and navigating folder directories. If you have trouble with any of these concepts, be sure to read an in-depth tutorial which details the process for you.
The instructions will install the skin at a specific directory highlighted in pink. The instructions assumes you have the same version installed. For more information read the in-depth tutorial.
Please Note!
Warning: Installing any skin pack on this site will overwrite existing custom skins. This skin pack ONLY contains the skins listed in the introduction. Before continuing please be sure you understand the concepts of opening and extracting a zip file.
Currently this skin pack supports Aim 6 version: 6.9.17.2
To check your AIM version number Open AIM.
Click: Help > About AIM

Installation
1. Extract themes.box and select Yes to Replace the existing themes.box file at the folder:
C:\Program Files\AIM6\services\imApp\ver6_9_17_2\theme
2. Extract blgadgets.box and select Yes to Replace the existing blgadgets.box at the folder:
C:\Program Files\AIM6\services\imApp\ver6_9_17_2\content\bl
3. Extract the folder “bumpxseries” at the folder:
C:\Program Files\AIM6\services\imApp\ver6_9_17_2\theme
4. Close AIM completely and Restart AIM, then select the skins from the theme icon.

i have 6.2 i think because i clicked ur link and it downloaded
i dont really know wut extract or overwrite mean
for extract i just compressed it into a zipped folder then clicked extract all and nothing really happened

i dont have the patience for computers lol but i know html so i just made my own, i think its pretty awesome, i even set up some gradients =D

The file that you downloaded was a RAR file and RAR files are opened with a program called WinRar. Post a screenshot of your skin.
I like your skins, you’ve done a good job with them. Do you have any plans on making one, but with red instead or pink/green?
I’m Planning to do A completely new Vista like skin for Aim and a Red and Blue Version of BumpX. Whenever Aim 6.2 updates to a new beta I will release a skin.

If you have no idea what a zip file is then you shouldn’t be trying to change your aim theme

I followed all of the above instructions, so I have the theme. But how do I actually apply it to my AIM???
Click the Color Chooser at the top Right corner, and click a pink button near the bottom
overwriting “blgadgets.box” messed up my aim. is there anyway i can get the original one back?
Reinstall aim, as it says right at the top of the post.
One should always backup their files in case anything goes wrong.
in the beta aim, is there still the black skin?
Yes Beta AIM still has the Black Chrome skin

Hey I used to have the skin but AIM updated itself to its newest version. bye bye skin. can you make them compatible for verson 6.5.9.1?
Around the end of the month. They keep updating AIM making it even more annoying for me but oh well.

I don’t have plans currently to make a bumpxpurple skin. However the rest of the colors including purple will eventually be made for another skin series.

I got it to work but the buttons don’t look any different, only the colors.
Never mind it just decided to work like an hour later.
