Aim 6.9 Skin BumpXGreen
Introduction
Bumpxgreen is a black and green Aim 6 skin.
It is a part of the bumpxseries pack which includes four skin colors:
- Bumpxred
- Bumpxblue
- Bumpxgreen
- Bumpxpink
Each skin is included in the pack, you do not need to download them separately.
Getting Started
Adding skins to Aim 6 requires the knowledge of using zip files, overwriting a file, and navigating folder directories. If you have trouble with any of these concepts, be sure to read an in-depth tutorial which details the process for you.
The instructions will install the skin at a specific directory highlighted in pink. The instructions assumes you have the same version installed. For more information read the in-depth tutorial.
Please Note!
Warning: Installing any skin pack on this site will overwrite existing custom skins. This skin pack ONLY contains the skins listed in the introduction. Before continuing please be sure you understand the concepts of opening and extracting a zip file.
Currently this skin pack supports Aim 6 version: 6.9.17.2
To check your AIM version number Open AIM.
Click: Help > About AIM

Installation
1. Extract themes.box and select Yes to Replace the existing themes.box file at the folder:
C:\Program Files\AIM6\services\imApp\ver6_9_17_2\theme
2. Extract blgadgets.box and select Yes to Replace the existing blgadgets.box at the folder:
C:\Program Files\AIM6\services\imApp\ver6_9_17_2\content\bl
3. Extract the folder “bumpxseries” at the folder:
C:\Program Files\AIM6\services\imApp\ver6_9_17_2\theme
4. Close AIM completely and Restart AIM, then select the skins from the theme icon.

i have tried doing this 4 times but cant seem to work! and everytime i do my aim screws up.. can u help?
If you don’t have Aim 6.2 its not going to work. Or you can just follow the full installation instructions to do it manually. Plus you didn’t put your Aim Screen Name, and your Aim Version, so there’s no way I can contact you until you do.
I tried to do this but couldn’t find ‘bumpx.png’

I got this theme to work for me…I appreciate the effort to make aim customizable…I was simply wondering could make a blue theme…
A complete blue theme or a black and blue theme?
Black with the blue accent would be hot…if possible…

my sn is mrsliickz. i downloaded the aim ver6.2 on your site. i followed all the instructions but did not see any change. i am using windows vista. i dont know how to turn on the skin to make it work. is there a button or selection menu to choose skin or it is suppose to work automatically? help me out.

This is possibly a moronic inquiry, but after I have installed this skin, it reverts to the skin with a Black AIM color. Is this how it is supposed to be, or can I change it to be the skin + Green as is shown in your pictures? Nothing too huge, I don’t particularly care one way or the other, this is a great skin either way. Thanks in advance.
No, its supposed to be black and green all around, you might have did something wrong during the process and AIM will revert back to the last skin used. Whats your AIM screen Name so we can walk through it?

ok i instaled the theme and it worked but its not green just a dark gray like the buttons arn’t green!
You forgot to put the images in.
All module images control the bottom 4 buttons

I used Notepad. You can learn more about creating skins by clicking “Skinning AIM” in the sidebar.
i got to the spot it says in the first step but their is no file that says zip or RAR
At the top there is a link that says = ZIP or RAR =, Choose one of them depending on if you have winzip or windows xp, or WinRar, whichever is more comfortable for you. Then you can follow the instructions from this page.

You guys if you want to change the color theme of your AIM 6.5 just click the little color wheel on the top right and choose the color you want.

Hey I’m trying to download this skin, but I’m wicked confused. Is there an easier way of explaining how to download this for AIM 6.8? I basically get to clicking “download” and get lost from there.
Usually I found installing/downloading things like this easy… guess not this time.
