BumpXGreen and black and green skin for Aim 6.8. This skin comes with 4 variations including the red, pink, and blue versions.

Installation: OverWrite
WARNING: These Instructions will remove any custom skins. Please note you should always back up your files incase anything goes wrong.
1. Extract (and select Yes to Replace) themes.box at:
C:\program files\aim6\services\imApp\ver6_8_12_4\theme
2. Extract (and select Yes to Replace) blgadgets.box at:
C:\program files\aim6\services\imApp\ver6_8_12_4\content\bl
3. Extract “bumpxseries” folders at:
C:\program files\aim6\services\imApp\ver6_8_12_4\theme

i have tried doing this 4 times but cant seem to work! and everytime i do my aim screws up.. can u help?
If you don’t have Aim 6.2 its not going to work. Or you can just follow the full installation instructions to do it manually. Plus you didn’t put your Aim Screen Name, and your Aim Version, so there’s no way I can contact you until you do.
I tried to do this but couldn’t find ‘bumpx.png’

I got this theme to work for me…I appreciate the effort to make aim customizable…I was simply wondering could make a blue theme…
A complete blue theme or a black and blue theme?
Black with the blue accent would be hot…if possible…
i cannot find bumpx.png… where is it?

Hello, I have done all the steps, my aim is 6.2 and it does not work. Nothing happens. Its just regular aim which is odd because I thought at the very least it’d distort my aim. All fies were saved and put into correct places. However I am using vista…

my sn is mrsliickz. i downloaded the aim ver6.2 on your site. i followed all the instructions but did not see any change. i am using windows vista. i dont know how to turn on the skin to make it work. is there a button or selection menu to choose skin or it is suppose to work automatically? help me out.

This is possibly a moronic inquiry, but after I have installed this skin, it reverts to the skin with a Black AIM color. Is this how it is supposed to be, or can I change it to be the skin + Green as is shown in your pictures? Nothing too huge, I don’t particularly care one way or the other, this is a great skin either way. Thanks in advance.
No, its supposed to be black and green all around, you might have did something wrong during the process and AIM will revert back to the last skin used. Whats your AIM screen Name so we can walk through it?
Oh, it’s jesus freak20xx, but it’s working now. I guess it fixed itself when my computer rebooted last night. Thanks for the help anyways!

ok i instaled the theme and it worked but its not green just a dark gray like the buttons arn’t green!
You forgot to put the images in.
All module images control the bottom 4 buttons

Very Sexy Skin, are we allowed to alter in any way? Also you should make tutorial on making an Aim skin.

I used Notepad. You can learn more about creating skins by clicking “Skinning AIM” in the sidebar.
i got to the spot it says in the first step but their is no file that says zip or RAR
At the top there is a link that says = ZIP or RAR =, Choose one of them depending on if you have winzip or windows xp, or WinRar, whichever is more comfortable for you. Then you can follow the instructions from this page.

Free? I’m not sure what your talking about since everything here is Free.
You guys if you want to change the color theme of your AIM 6.5 just click the little color wheel on the top right and choose the color you want.
