PSPo2i: The Main Dragon
Today Sakai talked briefly about his beloved art team, Akikazu Mizuno and Mitsura! They are the ones behind the major artworks in this game.
Sakai revealed the “Main Visual.” (However, we saw this already on this blog when Gamespot JP displayed the box art. Teehee~) Anyway the point of the main visual is to show 4 players cooperating to defeat an oversized enemy.
The design team uses an art system that was cleverly named after them called 「MIZUN/O」 and 「MuTSu/uRA」. (But I’d just call this Photoshop amiright?) Akikazu Mizuno will continue to draw event scenes in Infinity’s Episode 2. Mitsura on the other hand was responsible for designing the main visual.
First they extract in game models and place them within a pose. Mitsura then draws over them creating a stylish CG-like scene.
The monster shown in the Main Visual is called ディラ・ブレイヴァス or Dyla Bravas. He’s a large Stateria who is supposed to protect a foothold. However, he went berserk attacking various places.
Dyla Bravas attacks with an electrical shock and can even generate a tornado. At the end of October, if you reserve the game at participating shops in Japan, you can also receive a poster featuring this dragon!

Sometimes I hate the lack of special promos in the US, and lemme guess, online preorder won’t get me the poster, will it?

Err umm. I think someone asked this question before last year when PSP2 preorders gifts came out but I never really did find the answer.
Sakai says you can get this poster where games are sold and game Shops. I don’t know if this helps but I would assume you’d have to be there physically.

Oh I also remembered Amazon Japan had a preorder bonus for PSP2 where they would give you a bonus Music CD.
