PSO2 JP: Patch (9/19/2012)
In order to continue playing Phantasy Star Online 2, you are required to update your game. When you open the launcher, the game will now automatically perform a file check then download the update.
Launcher is currently:
- Version 01.03.02
Client Update
- ver.1.0101.1
- Dark Sun’s Windows Admin. Permissions Fix.
Patch Size
- 68MB
- Patch Mirror
(If you are downloading the game for the first time, you will have to download an update which requires 2.3GBs of free space.)
Patch Notes
- Corrected a bug where another character on your account could not accept a daily order other than the one who first accepted it.
- Corrected a bug where Digg meat could not be stored in storage.
- Corrected a bug where if you were one of the new classes it was difficult for enemies to target you.
- For Double Sabers and Twin Daggers, changed the cancel timing for the step attack during a jump.

@Zane: It always changes back to japanese with any update. Just reapply the eng patch. Major updates require a brand new patch of course. Servers are grayed out because maintenance is still going.

I think some updates were downloaded in last update. Now they are doing the maintenance to add them in the game.

As per usual, for those who need it, here's the PSO2.exe with no permission issues: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2280026/pso2exe.zip

@Tieler
Team Rooms aren't added yet, so the message popping up is basically saying that it isn't added or not possible yet.

Did GameGuard got updated too ?
I haven't able to play since before the big patch, I keep getting random freezes that sometimes unfreeze or I have to reboot PC.

I was wondering why enemies just went past me even after smacking them a few times.

oh, so I'm not supposed to be bad at drawing aggro. well, so much for using my NPCs to draw trogdorvol dragon's attention. at least I finished the "kill vol dragon 3x" orders for fighter beforehand, lol.
and, step attack during a jump? people do that with daggers? I mean… seems like using step in midair makes you drop like a brick, which is counterproductive to daggers… *shrug*

I think Sega needs to let GameGuard go. I'm tired of not being able to play because of issues with GameGuard. Filing an error report with them doesn't do anything (at least not fast enough), and I would really like to go back to playing because I'm missing not only events, but my friends. I personally feel that Sega should recognize the problem not as themselves, but rather GameGuard causing this mess. They should just switch to a new service and call it a day, because GameGuard is pissing me off beyond belief. >_>"

Agree with Lyrica. I haven't been able to play PSO2 at all because of the damn GG.
Ricardo, pls let us know if SEGA plans to correct this issue at all or when it gets fixed.

Well, i've tried to play Pso2 since many of my friends told me that it was a fantastic game, and i found an error with the permissions, i just downloaded and applied the pso2.exe Dark-Sun uploaded, but now i get another problem, just when the pso2 screen appears, a message (in japanese i wonder, cause it appears me in empty little squares) pop-ups, and when i click ok pso2 closes, and it goes like that all the time, can some1 tell me what's happening, and if I can solve it? TT

@Terraxus I've had a similar problem (if not the same) after the last update. But it only happened when I was opening other programs or alt-tabbing too much while the game was starting. I think it's something related to GameGuard.
I'm not sure, but I think trying to play the game in windowed mode may solve this problem if GG is complaining about something when the focus changes to PSO2 fullscreen.

Okay, after reading from other user's comments on PSO-World about GG issue, it seems uninstalling your Anti-Virus before playing should resolve the issue. Just remember to re-install it after finish playing.
I tried it and been able to play for 5 straight hours without a single freeze/crash.

So I have been getting the HTTP error on my launcher so I havent been able to patch or start the game. Now I downloaded the latest patch provided on this blog. And when I run the launcher it still tries to patch my game and i still get the HTTP error.
Is there any known ways to bypass updates through launcher? If not ill just have to make it myself.
Just wanted to know if anyone else found a solution to this problem.

Can somebody walk me through this in a bit more detail please? I just found out this game was out yesterday, didn't care much for psu, but I loved pso ep1&2 so would like to check this one out. I'm having the same trouble as kill posted above.
