This can happen if you are transferring data from the incorrect region.

A US save data can transfer to US PSP2
A EU save data can transfer to EU PSP2.

Your English is fine. And yes, regardless of what stage in the game you are in, you can transfer your chara.

(every time I read “chara” I’m reminded of Shugo Chara )
