I must admit, it’s very pretty!

Players will participate in a special challenge mission exclusively for the event. You are allowed to choose any race, sex, and battle type, and as long as you are partnered in a team of only 2 players. If you answer a questionnaire at the PSU booth, you can also receive a special Phantasy Star Soundtrack which features the theme songs of the PSU series. Within the soundtrack there will be a code for a Koltova TCSM for Phantasy Star Universe JP.

Apologies if I’m being pedantic, but the weapons are ‘Wing Spada’ and ‘Wing Scudo’. Spada and Scudo are Italian for sword and shield, respectively.

Is there going to be any way for the rest of us to get these items? Are the codes going to be the same as the other Vision Phone codes, so they’re usable by everyone?

^^ As stated in the blog post,
On 16th Jan,
Given at the gaming tournament:
“Wing Spada”
“Wing Scudo”
Codes

Questionare filled at the gaming tournament
“Koltova TCSM”?
Code

Presumably they’re not DLC, but vision phone passwords (downloading DLC at a gaming tournament? Don’t think so…)

Still a long wait…

Matt, Wes, Miu
I can’t really answer the question officially right now since no one is saying what it is. But Rapico updated yesterday and now it’s starting to sound like they are DLC Items.. :(

Here’s how it goes from the official blog

Q: The Wing Spada and Wing Scudo, is it possible to download these items in the future?

A: We currently do not have plans to offer the items for download at this time.

The Koltova (TCSM) code is for PSU Japan

i bet if they would give the wing spada and the wing scudo away you would have to buy them

That appears to be a likely scenario. It may possibly just end up on the Playstation Store, but for now purchasing PSP the Best appears to be the way to receive them.

@Dioscyfo F2P is a great model cause you get to choose what you want to pay for. And when done right, like in the case of PSO2, it doesn’t disturb the core game and adds value to the experience.

@DioScyfo F2P does not equal COMPLETELY FREE. There are services and cosmetic, and helper items that you would have to pay for if you wanted them. Free to play means just that. You get to play for free. Extras = $

Nothing has been decided yet. But I really doubt they’ll organize an CBT 2nd : they have to release the game ASAP, to make people pay. And excepted the lag issue that could be resolved during the OBT,
