The Shred the Darkness event website has been released to the public. Here’s some missions you can expect on April 17th 2009 through May 22, 2009. Everyone participating will contribute to a total hit score where we can gain special prizes after the event. This event also brings back the “Hit the Counter” concept.

Prologue Mission

Counter: Cylez City 5th Floor

Laia Martinez will give you an introduction on the strategy of how we will all combat the SEED.

Roar of Flame

Counter: Cylez City 5th Floor

You’ll blast through the Denes Relics site as you put an end to the monsters affected by the fire contamination.

The Magashi Plan

Counter: Cylez City 5th Floor

Here, you will solo an exclusive Episode 3 side story mission. Be careful! Once you die, your kicked out. This mission does not contribute to Hit the Counter, nor the total creature kills.

What is Hit the Counter?

Hit the Counter is a concept where a team can win a special prize if they passed through a certain score as they play. Essentially everyone participating in the event (excluding The Magashi Plan) will contribute to a total score based on the amount of enemies killed. Hit the Counters are milestones set throughout the event.

For example lets say a milestone is for every 5,000th kill, a team will get a prize. Everyone in the entire game who plays will contribute to that score. However the individual team who’s total hits at the time surpasses that milestone will get the prize. When you Hit the counter, your team’s face and names will appear on the website.

Springtime Cherry Blossoms

From April 17th to May 15th

Spring is here! The Cherry Blossom will be in full bloom on Cylez City and Neudaiz.

Well it’s finally here, Shred the Darkness event begins April 17th.  Shred the Darkness will take place on Cylez City 5th floor. It will feature brand new missions and a brand new way of purifying SEED. Remember the Event starts April 17th. We’ll be here to place up any guides you need throughout the day.

With the Unification point rapidly approaching, the conflict between GUARDIANS and the SEED forces draws to a head as a unified Gurhal system works to install Photon Generators that would eradicate the SEED. However, the SEED are not ignorant – sensing the operation, the GUARDIANS now face a sea of never-ending monsters, all with a single goal: destroy the Photon Generators.
